Management and Administration T Level

T Levels are brand new, two-year courses offering an alternative route to A Levels and apprenticeships. They are developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to ensure that the content meets the needs of industry and fully prepares you for the world of work.

The Management and Administration T Level is for people wanting to pursue a career in business. It combines classroom theory, practical learning and a compulsory 315-hour (nine week) work placement, ensuring you get experience in a real workplace.

In your first year you will develop a range of skills vital for this industry. You will choose an occupational specialism from one of the following: Business Improvement, Business Support, or Team Leadership/Management.

At the end of Year One you will complete externally marked exams and an Employer Set Project. In Year Two you will complete an externally marked project based on your occupational specialism. Crucially and uniquely to T Levels, you will spend 315 hours (around nine weeks) on industry placement in a business-related role.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including English Language and Maths.

Future career and study opportunities

This T Level can lead directly to employment in a range of areas including: business support, human resources, customer service, sales, marketing and personal/executive assistants.

Successful completion will also enable you to progress into Higher Education, with a wide choice of courses such as Accounting & Business, Business Management, Marketing, Banking & Finance.

Work experience/Careers Extra

Successful completion of a 315-hour (around nine weeks) industry placement is a compulsory element of this course. Your placement is likely to take place in 2-3 blocks of several weeks at a time – giving you valuable workplace experience.
