Getting real-world work experience as part of your course will enhance your CV and support applications to both universities and employers. Our dedicated employability team will support you through the process.
Work experience is when you will go and work in a real working environment for a short placement or period of time. It is important for you to gain experience in the field you are interested in going into, especially in some industries as it shows commitment to your study.
Our study programmes allow you to undertake at least 30 hours of work experience or work-related activities. If you are studying a T Level you will do up to 45 days worth of work experience as part of your course.
Our employability team support you through the process:
We work with local and regional employers through our Future Talent Forums to arrange visits, talks and employability fairs. These events give students the opportunity to meet local employers and discuss work experience opportunities.
