Nutrition and Health Level 2 Certificate

Nutrition and Health Level 2 Certificate

Distance learning courses enable you to boost your career with a nationally recognised qualification even if you don’t have the time to attend training sessions. You will work your way through the qualification submitting work every 2 weeks, achieving within approximately three months.

This nationally accredited qualification gives those who are working, or intending to work, in settings such as sport and recreation, exercise and fitness, hospitality and catering or healthcare, an understanding of nutrition and health to support their role in the workplace.

The course is split into six manageable units:

  • Explore principles of healthy eating

  • Consider nutritional needs of a variety of individuals

  • Use food and nutrition information to plan a healthy diet

  • The principles of weight management

  • Understanding eating disorders

  • Principles of food safety for the home environment

This course is studied purely online and is ideal for those who are happy to work independently using our fully supported online learning platform.

For those local to Swindon, are returning to learning and would prefer to receive one-to-one support from a tutor, we offer a workbook option.

  • The course is fully funded by the Government and to qualify, you must be aged 19 at the start of the academic year, have been resident in England for the last three years and be a UK citizen.
