The SAWIOT is a technical training facility designed to deliver high quality, higher level technical education and training across a range of STEM occupations, careers and industries through our state-of-the-art, industry standard facilities.
Institutes of Technology are a collaboration between Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) partners, allowing access to curriculum pathways and training up to and including Degree level. Our FE partners are New College Swindon and Cirencester College; with HE partners; University of Gloucestershire and Oxford Brookes University. We have Anchor employer partners linking the skills pathways to industry and these include Nationwide Building Society, Retrac Group Ltd, AECOM, Create Studios, Catalent, Green Machine Computers and Render.
Our sector specialisms include Business Management, Creative and Media Digital and Computer Science, Engineering, Health, Manufacturing and Lab Science professions.

SAWIOT is part of the national network of Institutes of Technology (IoTs). Each IoT is made up of a collaboration between experienced education providers and leading industry employers. The main goal of each IoT is to deliver regionally relevant world-class technical education and training.
Each IoT works with employers in their region to ensure that the education, training and experience will feed into the local economy, producing the leaders and thinkers of the future for the region.
