Spot the Star Competition Terms and Conditions 2023

One entrant will be drawn at random the day after the competition post as part of a prize draw for the New College Swindon “Spot the star” competition. This competition does not include weekends and will only run between Tuesday 10^th October and 16^th October 2023 when the New College and North Star Facebook and Instagram pages are manned. This competition will ask entrants to guess where the new star logo is placed and comment on a post that will be updated each day.
One prize will be announced the day after the post on the New College Swindon Facebook and Instagram stories and posts. Entrants will not be able to choose their prize. No part of this prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize. If the advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
The competition is open to all New College Swindon students, prospective students, stakeholders and the general public residing in the UK. It is not open to New College Swindon employees or partner staff (or members of their immediate families). We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all competitor entrants.
One post will be uploaded each day between Tuesday 10^th October and Monday 16^th October (excluding weekends) at 10am and entries will close by 4.30pm. During the first week (Tuesday 10th – Friday 13th), winners will be selected in the morning of each day. Friday 13^th’s winner will be announced on Monday 16^th morning to allow entrants to enter on more than one platform. The winner must respond within 48 hours in order to claim their prize. A winner will be selected at random.
You can enter the competition by commenting your answer on our Facebook and Instagram page. Inappropriate comments and/or those using bad language will be removed by the moderator.
Only one entry per person per DAY will be accepted for the competition. One entry per DAY is required to be entered into the daily draw – you can enter on as many days as you would like. Where we discover or have reasonable groups for believing a winner has submitted more than one entry per day, then we reserve the right to disqualify that winner and select an alternative winner. If only one person enters the competition and answers correctly, they will be selected as the winner on that occasion.
If you are a winner, we will put a post up on the New College Swindon Facebook and Instagram stories and posts, asking the winner to private message New College Swindon with an email address, so the prize can be sent.
By entering the competition the winner agrees to participate in any promotional activity for New College Swindon.
New College Swindon holds no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed or which are not received for any reason. We do not accept any liability whatsoever in respect of entries, including any error, delay or problem in transmission, communication or otherwise, access to the website, loss, deletion, destruction, theft, fraud, alteration or any other defect nor any unauthorized use of the website including access to entries whatsoever.
New College Swindon reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If this does happen we will publish the amended rules on the relevant competition page.
New College Swindon will endeavor to send prizes within a month of the competition end date but cannot guarantee the delivery time.
This competition is run by New College Swindon and not Facebook or Instagram. Facebook and Instagram have no involvement with the prizes or set up of the competition.
