T Level - Accounting Level 3

Full Time

About the course

T Levels are a fantastic new qualification developed with employers to get you firmly on the ladder to career success. T Levels involve more classroom study than apprenticeships, which means you can experience an industry while you continue your studies. T Levels:

  • last for two years and are studied five days per week (80% classroom and 20% workplace)

  • are equivalent to three A Levels, carrying the equivalent UCAS points

  • prepare learners for a skilled career by providing practical skills and knowledge

  • include an extended industry placement of at least 315 hours

  • are assessed through a combination of exams, course work, workplace reviews, an employer project and an end-point assessment. To pass the qualification, students must have fully completed the extended placement and gained the necessary level of work experience (validated by the employer).

Accounting T Level is for people interested in a career in Accountancy. In your first year you will develop the skills needed for a wide number of job roles that involve Accounting and you will study an occupational specialism: Assistant Accountant. The course involves an industry-based approach to learning where you will practise the skills and qualities required for working in the financial services sector. At the end of Year One you will complete externally marked exams and an Employer Set Project. In Year Two, you will complete an externally marked project based on your occupational specialism and across the two years, you will spend 315 hours (approx. 9 weeks) on placement in an accountancy related role.
