Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Apprenticeship (Level 3)


The cost of an apprenticeship programme is funded by the employer and/or through government funding. Apprentices do not financially contribute towards the cost of their training.

For individuals looking to train as a fully qualified Gas Engineer. Learn how to plan, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems both inside and outside of properties. In addition they will also undertake the following qualifications as part of the programme; CCN1, CENWAT and MET.

Entry Requirements

Apprentices must be employed within a relevant job role to undertake the programme. Employers will set entry criteria for their apprenticeship vacancies. If you do not already hold a minimum GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent you will be required to study functional skills in these areas as part of your apprenticeship.

Assessment/Exam Information

Apprentices will be required to undertake an End Point Assessment which will consist of a multiple choice test, design project, practical installation test and practical application test.
