Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship (Level 3)


The cost of an apprenticeship programme is funded by the employer and/or through government funding. Apprentices do not financially contribute towards the cost of their training.

For individuals wanting to train as a Motor Vehicle and Maintenance Technician. Learning how to service and repair light vehicles and working in a dealerships or for an independent garage. The nature of the work ranges from replacing simple parts through to solving complex faults with the use of diagnostic methods and equipment.

Entry Requirements

Apprentices must be employed within a relevant job role to undertake the programme. Employers will set entry criteria for their apprenticeship vacancies. If you do not already hold a minimum GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent you will be required to study functional skills in these areas as part of your apprenticeship.

Assessment/Exam Information

Apprentices will be required to undertake an End Point Assessment which will consist of an online knowledge test and skills test.
