About the course
This qualification is perfect for you if you enjoy developing and managing people. You’ll expand your knowledge of HR with a combination of core units and specialist areas – helping you focus on what matters most to you. This course is also useful if you are working in a people practice role and wish to contribute your knowledge and skills to help shape organisational value.
Course content
You’ll study 6 units:
· Organisational performance & culture in practice
· Evidence based practice
· Professional behaviours & valuing people
· Employment relationship management
· Talent management & workforce planning
· Reward for performance & contribution
You will complete assignments which are assessed internally; there are no exams.
Entry requirements
· You must have Level 2 Functional Skills English or GCSE grade C/4 and above.
· To join the course you must be working at management level within an HR function including devising your company HR policies and procedures
· You must have autonomy within your role and be responsible for any decisions made.
· If you have recently completed the Level 3 CIPD Certificate/Diploma, you should have spent some time within your work environment, putting into practice the knowledge you gained during the Certificate
Where next?
Once you have been able to put into practice the skills gained during this course, you can progress to the Associate Diploma in People Management Level 5.

Ideal if you are aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in people management, or, are working towards or working in a people manager role
On successful completion, you’ll be awarded CIPD Associate Membership, and the designation “Assoc CIPD” after your name. This establishes your credibility as a professional, raises your profile and opens doors to new job opportunities.
