Learning & Skills Teacher Apprenticeship (Level 5)

Employment/Study


The cost of an apprenticeship programme is funded by the employer and/or through government funding. Apprentices do not financially contribute towards the cost of their training.

An apprenticeship for individuals training to be a Teacher of young people and adults. Individuals will be working in a Further Education, Work Based Learning or Higher Education environment. As part of the apprenticeship, apprentices will achieve a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent.

Entry Requirements

Apprentices must be employed within a relevant job role to undertake the programme. Employers will set entry criteria for their apprenticeship vacancies. If you do not already hold a minimum GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent you will be required to study functional skills in these areas as part of your apprenticeship.

Assessment/Exam Information

Apprentices will be required to undertake an End Point Assessment which will consist of a professional discussion informed by a thematic case study and online presentation, two teaching observations.
