About the Course

This course is designed for people who would like to gain employment in the Automotive industry and combines both practical training theory along with mechanical necessary industry standards. During your course of study, you will be involved in: demonstrations, practical work, theory lessons, computer sessions, tutorials, and project work. The course will stretch and challenge learning, as all learners have the opportunity to complete additional units to gain a full diploma. You will also have timetabled sessions in English and Maths, work experience and enrichment as part of your programme.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 3/D or above or equivalent.

Where next?

On successfully passing the course, along with the additional units for the full diploma, you can progress onto the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Diploma Level 3 (dependent on your ability to cope with more complex systems), or progress to an Apprenticeship.

Work Experience and Employability

Work experience can be arranged through the College as part of your qualification.

Fees information

This course is free to students aged 16-18.

Students aged 19+ will usually be charged a tuition fee, unless they meet certain eligibility criteria for fee remission. For further advice on fees, waivers and loans, please contact the Fees Co-Ordinator at Queens Drive.
