Where next?
This vocational course can lead to jobs such as a Health Care Assistant, Support worker, and other jobs in Health and Social Care or progression onto the Level 3 qualification.
Work experience and employability
Students are encouraged to do a minimum of 30 hours work experience, especially if they are looking to progress onto Level 3, to help them gain vital employability skills in the sector, however this is not mandatory. All students will engage in activities during the course to help develop key skills for the workplace. If you would like to undertake a work placement alongside your studies, our Employability Team can help.
We also have opportunities to carry out Voluntary work in the Community.
What additional resources will I need?
You will be expected to cover the travel costs to your work experience placements. You may also want to buy some of the textbooks used in class or access the e-learning resources provided. You will also need to ensure that you bring the correct equipment for classroom learning.
