About the course
Students who successfully complete this Level 5 programme will have gained a recognised teaching qualification for the post-16 education and training sector. This is one of the most popular qualifications for prospective teachers wishing to pursue a career in further education, or for those who currently hold an FE teaching role and wish to fain a full teaching qualification.
Students will have access to all the learning facilities on campus.
This course can be studied full-time or part-time over 24 months.
Applicants must have:
- Level 3 subject related (vocational) qualification,
- A current teaching role with access to 50 hours teaching per year
- Level 2 English and Maths, or equivalent Literacy and Numeracy (or be willing to work towards this)
Candidates intending to apply for QTLS, should note that they will be required to hold Level 2 English and Maths, in addition to their Level 3 subject specialism.
Students will be able to enhance their professional practice which will provide opportunities for career development.
