Typically, you will need:
A Level 5 qualification such as Foundation Degree in Early Years (240 credits equivalent) or equivalent sector-endorsed qualification
A grade average of 55% or more across your Level 5 programme
A suitable work environment to fulfil the work-based requirement of the course
Successful DBS clearance
You should have at least two years’ experience of working or volunteering in an educational setting prior to commencing the course.
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to gain Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) via a separate provider. If you wish to continue teacher training, you will be eligible to undertake a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education).
