About the course

This is a beginner non-qualification based course, which helps you understand how to use the different settings and purposes of your digital camera. It is ideal for beginners who want to understand how to use the camera properly and when to use the various scene modes or manual controls of the camera in specific scenarios.

• Initial set up
• Scene Modes and when to use them
• How Aperture makes the picture
• ISO and White Balance explained
• Creative Shutter Speed applications
• Exposure metering and control
• Composition exercises
• Focusing systems and setup
• Creative tools (lighting, filters etc.)
• Basic image editing and management

Entry requirements

No experience required, just a willingness to learn and a keen interest in the subject. You will be required to bring your own Digital Camera, capable of full manual control.

Fees information

6 weeks course £120.00 (Autumn term)

8 weeks course £160.00 (Spring and Summer term)
