Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship (Level 3)


The cost of an apprenticeship programme is funded by the employer and/or through government funding. Apprentices do not financially contribute towards the cost of their training.

For individuals working within the Construction Industry, looking to further enhance their current skills and to learn more complex techniques within Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery. Apprentices will achieve a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations as part of their apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements

Apprentices must be employed within a relevant job role to undertake the programme. Employers will set entry criteria for their apprenticeship vacancies. If you do not already hold a minimum GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent you will be required to study functional skills in these areas as part of your apprenticeship.

Assessment/Exam Information

Apprentices will be required to undertake an End Point Assessment which will consist of a Knowledge Test and Practical Skills Assessment.

What can I do next?

Progression on to higher level apprenticeship opportunities or HNC/HND qualifications such as Construction in the Built Environment.
