About the course
Following this course will give you a wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of basic business practices as well as the practical skills needed to prepare you for the world of work.
There are five main themes to this course, as well as a work experience placement, including: Employability skills; Investigating careers; Using IT in a business environment; Customer service skills; Enterprise skills
GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 2/E.
The skills that you will develop on this course are recognised by potential employers and there are opportunities for visits to local businesses and guest speakers from Businesses.
Students will work towards a Certificate or a Diploma in Occupational Studies and the full qualification can lead on to the OCR Level 2 Cambridge Technical Diploma in Business.
Work experience and employability
There is a work experience placement available on this course.
What additional resources will I need?
You will need to supply your own stationary, pen drives/USB sticks.
This course is free to students aged 16-18.
Students aged 19+ will usually be charged a tuition fee, unless they meet certain eligibility criteria for fee remission. For those paying, an Advanced Learner Loan may be available. For further advice on fees, waivers and loans, please contact the Fees Co-Ordinator at Queens Drive.
