For individuals wanting to start a career in the Construction industry within the area of Brickwork. Apprentices will learn how to lay bricks, blocks and other types of mortar to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches and other structures. They will also cover general work place safety, efficient work practice, moving and handling resources, erecting and dismantling work platforms, placing and finishing concrete.
Entry Requirements
Apprentices must be employed within a relevant job role to undertake the programme. Employers will set entry criteria for their apprenticeship vacancies. If you do not already hold a minimum GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent you will be required to study functional skills in these areas as part of your apprenticeship.
Assessment/Exam Information
Apprentices will be required to undertake an End Point Assessment which will consist of a knowledge test, skills test and oral questioning underpinned by a portfolio.
