You will need five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths.
Successful completion of the course will enable you to progress onto Higher Education to study for a for an HNC/HND, foundation degree or degree in a wide range of travel-related subjects.
Alternatively, you may wish to move directly into employment or an apprenticeship in the travel and tourism industry. Job roles are varied, including travel agents and tour operators, in the transport and accommodation sectors and in government funded organisations such as the National Trust or VisitBritain.
If you are studying for the Extended Diploma, you will undertake 35-hours industry work placement as part of your studies. Our college Employability Team will support to find this, which will develop your employability skills and enhance your CV.
We recommend that you buy a course textbook and you will also need to supply your own notebooks and stationery. A variety of optional visits and trips are also offered at an additional cost.
