This programme was discussed with Swindon and Wiltshire Council and is designed to help give learners the opportunities to re-engage in education or get ready to enter into the workplace. It was decided that NEET young people are often unsure of what pathway they want to enter into and this programme needs to ensure that it allows learners to try curriculum areas before committing or working towards employment in this area.
Opportunities to complete Maths & English qualifications alongside the programme to help with self-development and opportunities or embedded into the teaching for learners not able to complete Maths & English qualifications. Learners will take part in team-building activities and have the ability to complete taster sessions in vocational areas to help decide the courses or workplaces they may want to enter after completing this programme. As well as building a CV and having 1:1’s with a personal tutor to set goals and regularly review and update.
