Nutrition - Assisting with Eating & IDDSI (Basic Dysphagia)

This course is to explore the area of care around nutritional needs within care settings and assessment of need including the safe use if IDDSI to support care staff to reduce choking risk.

We will explore the dining experience for all whether in residential or their home environments.

This interaction session explores the intervention and support mechanisms in a safe simulated environment.

Entry requirements

A suitable role within health and social care.

Work experience/Careers Extra

Will equip you to manage the ongoing management of catheters including insertion when signed off in the workplace post course.

Future career and study opportunities

This qualification can be used with other clinical skills courses.
