This course has been specifically designed to allow learners to develop their knowledge of mental capacity in a health and social care environment.

The course is intended for those who work, or plan to work, with patients or clients in a health and social care setting, such as: hospitals, care homes and day care centres.

During this comprehensive course, learners will cover a variety of topics:

  • Mental Health Capacity

  • Deprivation of Liberty

  • Best Interest Decisions

This interactive day will support you in making assessments and practical aspects of the day to day consideration of best interest decisions.

Entry requirements

Working in health and social care environment.

Future career and study opportunities

This qualification can be used in conjunction with other clinical courses.

Fees Information

Students aged 19+ may be able to fund this course via the Advanced Learner Loan. Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks. Check you eligibility at www.gov.uk/advanced-learner-loan.
