This exciting course will give you a taster of media make-up and help you explore the different careers you could have using these skills and knowledge.
The purpose of these introductory qualifications is to develop the transferable skills, attributes and behaviours that you need to progress to further study and ultimately to employment. This course focuses on practical skills and tasks, with an emphasis on ‘doing’.
Throughout the one-year programme you will have the opportunity to show your artistic skills through a carousel of units. You will take part in lots of exciting, highly practical projects and lessons, covering the following topics:
Topics are varied and include: Being Organised; Working With Others; Researching A Topic; Creating a Mood board; Creating an Art Image; Contributing To Running An Event; Demonstrating Make-up Techniques and Demonstrating Nail Art.
You must be creative with a genuine interest in learning about this exciting industry and developing your skills. You must also be willing to study.
Future career and study opportunities
Successfully completing this course will enable you to progress to a number of Level 2 courses, such as BTEC Media Make-up Level 2 and Art & Design Level 2.
There is not a set kit requirement for this course however you may wish to purchase some products/materials. There will also be an additional cost for trips throughout the year.
