Marketing T Level
T-Levels are two-year, Level 3 study programmes, equivalent to 3 A Levels. This course offers an alternative to A-Levels and Apprenticeships, combining classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum of 315 hours of industry placement with an employer. This placement opportunity ensures students have real experience of the workplace, whilst seeing the classroom theory in action.
This programme is developed in collaboration with employers, so that the content meets the needs of the industry and prepares students for work. T-Levels provide the knowledge and experience needed to progress to highly skilled employment, an Apprenticeship or higher-level study, including university.
This course is for dedicated students, interested in the world of marketing within business.
The T Level in Marketing is scheduled to include 1100 hours of Total Guided Learning Hours. This includes studying the ten elements of the course:
Element 1: The Business Environment
Element 2: Principles of Marketing
Element 3: Principles of Sales
Element 4: Principles of Procurement
Element 5: Legislation and Regulation in Marketing, Sales and Procurement
Element 6: Sustainability in Business
Element 7: Communication in Business
Element 8: Project Management
Element 9: Impact of Technology on the Business Environment
Element 10: Legislation, Regulation and Ethics in the Business Environment
Students will sit 2 written examinations, each worth 30% of the qualification, 2.5 hours long each.
Paper 1 assesses Elements 1, 6, 7, 9 and 10.
Paper 2 assesses Elements 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8.
There is also an Employer Set Project, worth 40% of the qualification, where based on a given scenario, you will complete individual tasks to demonstrate the skills and knowledge they have gained through the course.
Finally, there is an Occupational Specialism, which is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed for specific roles in the workforce, in this case, surrounding marketing.
Entry requirements
You must have five GCSEs grade 4 or above, including English and Maths, or a vocational Tech Award pass at Level 2 alongside English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
Future career and study opportunities
After completion of the T-Level in Marketing, there is opportunity to progress to highly skilled employment, higher level Apprenticeships, or to university with the equivalent of 3 A-Levels gained from this course.
This course also supports progression to entry-level job opportunities in multi-channel marketing.
Work experience/Careers Extra
Upon completion of the course, you will have completed a minimum of 315 hours of work experience within your placement position. This will be industry specific, equipping you with the skills and experience to develop further in your future progression and career within marketing.
