Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles (Automotive) Level 2 Diploma

If you are keen to gain employment in the Automotive industry, then this is a great choice of course for you. It combines hands-on, practical training with theory, together with the mechanical industry standards.

Throughout the course, you will be involved with demonstrations, practical work, theory lessons, computer sessions, tutorials, and projects. It will challenge and stretch you, equipping you with the skills and knowledge you need to pursue a career in this industry.

You will have the opportunity to complete additional units to gain a full diploma. As part of the study programme, you will also have timetabled session in English and maths, work experience and enrichment.

Entry requirements

You will need four GCSEs at grade 3/D or above or equivalent.

Future career and study opportunities

On completion of this course, along with the additional units for the full diploma, you will be able to progress onto the Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Diploma. Alternatively, you could move into an apprenticeship, to further develop your skills and knowledge in a hands-on environment.
