Italian Intermediate Year 2

This course is designed to give you the essential Italian you need to enrich your everyday experiences, whether you’re travelling, socialising or simply enjoying the language. You’ll build practical grammar and vocabulary while developing your confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Throughout the course, you’ll explore useful, real‑world topics such as:

  • - Shopping for clothes and shoes

  • - Understanding public announcements

  • - Talking about TV and giving or asking for advice

  • - Making suggestions and asking about timetables

  • - Giving and understanding instructions

  • - Following the weather forecast

  • - Talking about sports and cars

  • - Describing health problems

  • - Making plans for the future.

You’ll learn through a mix of conversation, listening activities and guided practice, helping you use Italian naturally and with growing confidence.

Publisher: John Murray Learning The full course runs from September to June and is divided into three terms.

You enrol and pay for each term separately, and you’re welcome to join at any point in the year if spaces are available. If you join part‑way through, you’ll receive all the presentations and resources from earlier in the course so you can catch up at your own pace.

To ensure new learners are enrolled onto the correct level, your course tutor will give you a call after you’ve enrolled.

Entry requirements

You will already have a working knowledge of Italian, ideally having covered Year 1 Beginners content.
