If you are a beginner in glasswork and want an in-depth look at the craft behind stained glass windows, then this is the course for you. It is suitable for beginners, and we are offering you the chance to learn key skills to begin a new glass hobby and to be able to design and make your own work.
This 5-week course provides a more detailed look at making an A4 size-stained glass panel, working on a simple design within a template. You will choose from a selection of glass and the tutor will show you how to cut it into different shapes to create a pattern. You will then be taught how to cut and shape your lead, solder, cement and polish it. You will complete a stained-glass light-catcher to take home.
This course involves working with lead, for safety reasons we recommend that pregnant women do not attend.
Please bring an apron to protect your clothes, suitable relaxed clothing, including closed footwear and tie long hair back. Some pencils, a rubber and a ruler to draw out your design.
