Women's Hairdressing

This is a qualification that has been specifically designed to introduce you to practical hairdressing skills. The purpose is to develop your skills in hairdressing and provide you with the foundation for further learning. You will have their hairdressing skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment.

This qualification will enable you to provide and learn about shampooing, how to condition and treat the hair and scalp, the art of dressing hair, colouring and lightening hair, client consultations, and women’s haircuts. To further enhance your skills, you will also cover artistic and creative elements such as creating a hair and beauty image based on a theme.

You will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety and you will develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the skills required to support you in the hairdressing industry such as, promoting products within the salon and working with others.
