This course is ideal if you want to build on the French you learned at GCSE level (or equivalent) and take your skills further. You’ll strengthen your confidence in expressing opinions, describing experiences and talking about a wide range of topics, all while developing greater fluency, spontaneity and accuracy.
There are no fixed themes: the group helps shape the content. This means lessons stay fresh, relevant and enjoyable. Regular features include news stories, cultural events and focused grammar sessions to support your progress. You’ll continue to practise listening, reading and writing, but there will be a strong emphasis on speaking to help you use the language more naturally.
The full course runs from September to June and is divided into three terms. You enrol and pay for each term separately, and you’re welcome to join at any point in the year if spaces are available. If you join part‑way through, you’ll receive all the presentations and resources from earlier in the course so you can catch up at your own pace.
To ensure new learners are enrolled onto the correct level, your course tutor will give you a call after you’ve enrolled.
If you’re unsure which level is right for you, we’re here to help.
