Interns will need to have a keen desire to enter the world of work as well as having an Education, Health and Care Plan to access this programme. Interns will need to be an independent traveller.
Next steps would be paid employment as this will be the end of their educational journey.
On this programme interns will spend the vast majority of their time in a work placement. They will be supported by a Job Coach in and out of the workplace. The Job Coach will ensure that interns get the right help and support so succeed and thrive in the workplace. The aim of this programme is to support interns into paid work at the end of their course. This is a steppingstone into work and the time spent on this programme will be like having a real job. As such they will not follow an academic calendar and will be required to be in placements during half terms.
