You will need four GCSEs including grade 4 in Maths and English, and grade 3 or above in two other subjects.
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to progress onto a Level 3 Engineering programme. Alternatively, you may want to move straight into employment or onto an Apprenticeship.
Many job roles are available including: a maintenance engineer, mechanical engineer, railway engineer, welder and/or fabricator, and electrical and/or electronic engineer.
This course does not contain a specific work experience component but many of the skills you will learn are essential to employability. If needed, our Employability Team can help you find local work placements that will support the course.
All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided including safety boots and overalls. You would need to supply your own stationery.
