Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements

Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements

You can complete the full AAT Level 4 course, or do separate units. This unit provides students with the skills and knowledge for drafting the financial statements of single limited companies and consolidated financial statements for groups of companies.

Entry requirements

Ideally, students should have completed AAT Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications and have a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping.

Future career and study opportunities

Once qualified, and having met AAT’s criteria, students can apply for full AAT membership, which will allow them to use the designatory letters MAAT after their name.

A lot of universities offer exemptions to AAT students and for students who wish to become chartered accountants, the study of AAT qualifications may also offer exemptions from the exams required by a range of chartered accountancy bodies.
