Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 Apprenticeship

Digital Marketing Apprentices are becoming increasingly valuable to employers of all sizes to help address their digital skills shortages.

With the majority of sales leads coming through digital channels now, business desperately need this expertise. As a Digital Marketing Apprentice, you will develop the expert knowledge and skills needed to plan and implement digital campaigns across online and social media platforms. This will drive customer acquisition, engagement and retention, making you a valuable asset to any company.

Delivery and assessment

This apprenticeship standard has been developed with the help of employers including: IBM, Capgemini, Microsoft, Cisco, BT, HP, The Royal Signals, Lowe and Partners, Qinetiq, Weboo, 4Ps Marketing, Fujitsu, Accenture, Atos, CGI, Visa, Contentive, Thales, Ticket Master, NCA and Virgin Media.

There are a number of elements to each Apprenticeship, which is called a Standard. This Standard includes:

A knowledge-based qualification

  • Knowledge Module - Marketing Principles

  • Knowledge Module - Digital Marketing Principles

  • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) HTML 5

On Programme Assessment

  • Portfolio of evidence

  • Assessment of behaviours and skills

  • Technical knowledge and understanding

  • Technical competencies

Functional Skills

  • Maths, English at Level 2

End-point assessment

  • Summative Portfolio

  • Synoptic Project

  • Employer Reference

  • Interview

Entry requirements

You will need 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 9 - 4 (A*- C) or be willing to undertake Functional Skills Level 2.

We do have to make sure that you have potential to achieve the different elements that make up the qualification, and that you are working at the right level in your job. It may be a requirement to complete an initial assessment in English and Maths, and this may lead to taking some additional diagnostic assessments and skills exams.

Future career and study opportunities

This apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge to progress your career in digital marketing, across a wide range of sectors. It will also allow you to join the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) as an Affiliate (Professional) member and/or Associate membership of BCS.
