Digital Business Services Level 3 T Level

T Levels are brand new, two-year courses offering an alternative route to A Levels and apprenticeships. They are developed in collaboration with employers and businesses to ensure that the content meets the needs of industry and fully prepares you for the world of work.

This Digital Business Services T Level is for people wanting to pursue a career in IT, specifically in areas such as IT solutions for data analysis. It combines classroom theory, practical learning and a compulsory 315-hour (nine week) work placement, ensuring you get experience in a real workplace.

You will develop the knowledge needed for a wide range of digital-focused jobs, including specific skills relating to sourcing, analysing and interpreting data to support business needs.

You will also learn about how software and businesses interact, security testing and planning/legal issues.

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade 5/C or above (including English Language, Science & Maths). You will also need a strong interest in Computing and IT.

Future career and study opportunities

Successful completion of this industry-recognised qualification will enable you to progress onto a related higher-level apprenticeship or into higher education to study for a degree.

Alternatively, you may wish to go directly into employment. Relevant roles include a data technician or research analyst.

Work experience/Careers Extra

This programme includes a compulsory 315-hour industry placement, which must be completed successfully to achieve the qualification.

You will be required to source your work placement, with support from our Employability Team.

Additional resources/costs

You will need to purchase a textbook and cover the cost of any course-related trips you may wish to attend.

You will also need to pay for transport costs to/from your industry placement.
