This apprenticeship is delivered over 24 months. You will attend college each week during term time and complete around 65 hours of online learning. Assessor/employer reviews take place every 12 weeks to monitor and support your progress.
As a Cyber Security expert, you will have a choice of a wide range of sectors and industries. You may wish to work for a governmental organisation, a large corporate company or a small business â all of which require the expertise of skilled cyber risk analysts.
You will complete a minimum 20% off-the-job training, securing both theoretical and practical skills.
Your End Point Assessment will include a professional discussion, underpinned by a portfolio of work. You will also undertake scenario demonstrations and questioning, a project report and a knowledge test.
Your employer and the government will pay any tuition fees for your apprenticeship. As an apprentice, you will be paid to at least the national minimum wage and receive holiday pay.
Employers will set their own requirements for their apprentices. However, you will typically be expected to have five GCSEs at Grades 9-4 including Maths, English and a Level 3 (A Level equivalent) ICT-related qualification.
Apprenticeships provide you with on-the-job training, while you gain crucial qualifications. On completion of this programme you will able to develop and advance your career in this exciting industry by either progressing onto a higher level apprenticeship or into employment.
