Creative Media Skills Level 2 Diploma

Creative Media Skills Level 2 Diploma

This creative and holistic course will prepare you for the next steps in your journey towards a job in the Creative Industries. This course is 100% internally assessed, no exams, where you gather a portfolio of evidence in response to practical projects, briefs and workshops.

The creative media skills course will teach you the practical skills needed to progress into the three cornerstones of the media industry across the world, in areas such as Film & TV, Animation & Games Design. Although we focus on those specific areas, many of the skills you learn on this course are transferrable to other areas of the Creative Industries.

There is a simple structure to the course allowing you to develop pathways skills and learn core theory for each media industry. Firstly, you will explore and develop your production skills across Film & TV, Animation and Games Design. Secondly you apply your learnt knowledge to a brief allowing you to explore the different industries and experience how these skills are applied across the media pathways. You will continue this through a progression unit, targeting a role in the industry and then finally apply your knowledge and skills to a final major project, where you produce a finish product. This allows you to gather a portfolio of evidence to progress to a chosen pathway at Level 3.

Through the skills units, you will be using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Unity 3D, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Animate all within a dedicated suite of PCs, with access to industry standard equipment to enhance your learning and give you the best opportunity to progress to the next level.
