Counselling Level 4 Diploma

Counselling Level 4 Diploma

The programme is for people who want to work towards full professional status as a counselling practitioner. The Diploma will provide you with sound theoretical knowledge, together with the practical skills needed to work safely and effectively as a counsellor.

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to provide a therapeutic counselling service within the context of an agency's service framework.

There are seven mandatory units covered in this diploma including working safely and ethically, working within a user-centred approach and working with self-awareness.

Assessment is based on completion of a portfolio together with an externally assessed exam. This consists of an audio recording of a counselling session with a peer, plus an associated written paper taken under exam conditions.
