Common Health Conditions Level 2 Certificate

Common Health Conditions Level 2 Certificate

Distance learning courses enable you to boost your career with a nationally recognised qualification even if you don’t have the time to attend training sessions. You will work your way through the qualification submitting work every 2 weeks, achieving within approximately three months.

Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson’s disease, there are approximately 152,000 strokes in the UK every year (more than one every five minutes), and one in six of the UK population have some form of hearing loss. These health conditions, along with others such as arthritis and dementia, affect a substantial proportion of the population. A good understanding of common health conditions is essential in any care environment.

The course is split into six manageable units:

  • Principles of monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions

  • The cardiovascular system and associated diseases

  • Stroke awareness

  • Awareness of arthritis

  • Understand physical disability

  • Parkinson’s disease awareness

The workbook study option is most suitable for those local to Swindon, are returning to learning and would prefer to receive one-to-one support from a tutor.

This course can also be studied purely online and is ideal for those who are happy to work independently using our fully supported online learning platform.
