This Level 2 Bricklaying course is for people wanting to gain employment in the construction industry and achieve a nationally-recognised qualification.

The course is delivered through demonstrations, practical workshops, theory, assignments and project work. You will develop a wide range of practical skills, both at college and on building sites in real working conditions.
Areas covered included: Half-brick and one-brick walling; piers, copings and cappings; blockwork; cavity walling; jointing and pointing; damp-proof courses; wall ties and insulation; door and window openings; basic arch construction.
You will also have timetabled sessions in English and Maths, work experience and enrichment as part of your study programme.
You will need four GCSEs at grade 3/D or above including English and Maths.
Future career and study opportunities
Successfully completing this course will give you the opportunity to progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Bricklaying. Alternatively, you may want to move onto an apprenticeship and develop your skills further ‘on the job.’
You will need to supply your own stationery.
