Across five creative weeks, you’ll explore a range of essential beading techniques — from peyote stitch and spiral weave to brick stitch and loom work — building confidence as you go. Each session focuses on a new skill, with guided projects that allow you to practise, experiment, and start designing your own unique creations.

What You’ll Learn:
How to work with different bead types, including delicas
Core stitches such as peyote, spiral weave, brick stitch, and loom weaving
How to increase and decrease beads to shape your work
How to read and follow beading patterns
Techniques for finishing, joining, and creating 3D forms
The basics of designing your own beadwork pieces.
Week 1 — Getting Started with Peyote Weaving
Project: Mug mat (coaster)
Week 2 — Shaping with Peyote & Working with Delicas
Peyote using delica beads
Increasing and decreasing beads
Zipping flat peyote to form a tube
Project: A piece of jewellery
Week 3 — Spiral Weave Techniques
Project: Bracelet, necklace, or beaded glasses strap Week 4 — Brick Stitch Basics
Project: A small animal or motif.
Week 5 — Introduction to Loom Weaving
Project: Loom‑woven bracelet.
By the end of the course you’ll have a solid foundation in the major beading techniques, a collection of handmade pieces, and the confidence to start designing your own beadwork.
