a BTEC Level 3 qualification in Automotive or Motor Vehicle Engineering
a GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C (or equivalent) 9 to 4 (or equivalent) in subjects such as Mathematics and English
Other related, equivalent Level 3 qualifications:
an Access to Higher Education Diploma from an approved further education institution
an international equivalent to the above qualifications.
English Language requirements:
If your first language is not English, we accept IELTS (Academic) at grade 6 overall with a minimum score of 5.5 in each component (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking).

You will be invited to a course interview with the Programme Leader.
International applicants:
We require evidence of international qualifications at point of application. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applicants that require a Student Visa to study in the UK.
Students will experience a blend of teaching methods from industry experienced lecturers. Students are informed of the content of each module by the Module Handbook that also contains indicative reading lists.
This learning is further supported by the real-life experiences of lectures that allow difficult concepts to be easily understood. The Program is further supported by guest speakers and educational visits.
For internally assessed units, assessment takes the form of an assignment carried out after the unit (or part of the unit if several assignments are used) has been delivered. An assignment may take a variety of forms, including practical and written. It is a distinct activity completed independently by students (alone or in a team). It is separate from teaching, practice, exploration, and other activities that students complete with direction from tutors.
Graduates progress into roles such as:
Automotive or motorsport engineering technician
Vehicle design, testing, or manufacturing roles
Electric and hybrid vehicle specialist positions
Technical support and development engineering
Further study routes including HND or a degree in Automotive, Mechanical, or Motorsport Engineering.
