You must have a GCSE grade 4 (or higher) or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths.
If you're not already working in the health sector we suggest volunteering with local hospitals, care homes or local charities, such as Prospect Hospice or Headway (who support individuals with brain injuries), as the skills from this course would help in securing voluntary placements. After successfully completing this diploma, you'll have a good understanding of the healthcare sector and therefore will be eligible to apply to a number of health-related undergraduate courses. Once you have chosen and completed your degree-level programme, you will be ready to start your chosen career. Many health graduates go on to work in the NHS or even private practice.
