WorldSkills Uniformed Services Competition

New College was delighted to host the WorldSkills Uniformed Public Services competition southern heat on the 29th April 2010.

24 teams from colleges around the South region competed for a place in the national finals held in June, taking on challenges set by the Army, Royal Navy and Fire Brigade.

Congratulations to our New College team, who picked up first place on the day, and we wish them all the best in the National Finals.

All teams performed outstandingly well throughout the competition, and well done to all the students participating for an extremely high standard in all of today's events.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make the day a success, including UK Skills, the Army, the Royal Navy, the Fire Brigade, St John Ambulance, our Public Services students and Public Services lecturer Paul Holland.
