"Photographing Wiltshire's treasures" is an award winning collaboration between New College and Wiltshire Council Museums Advisory Service. Funding was provided by Renaissance South West
New College Photography and Media Students completed week long placements at nine Wiltshire museums to photograph a selection of objects from their museum collections.
Students received guidance from a professional photographer and a curator at each museum. Over 900 objects were photographed showing a fascinating variety of objects held in the collections of Wiltshire museums.
This Wiltshire Treasures Museum photography project was entered into the Voluntary and Community Sector Awards, presented by Wiltshire Council and NHS Wiltshire, and won the prize for 'Innovation Award' and best overall project.
The students work can be seen at an exhibition visiting a selection of the nine Wiltshire Museums.
The photographs will also be available on the Wiltshire Treasures website
