Four New College students are celebrating High Flyer Scholarship wins!

The four students are amongst those from the new intake of students for September 2019 who have joined our High Flyers' Programme.  This is open to students who have achieved a minimum of six grade A/A* or grades 7-9 in their GCSEs.

The scheme provides special initiatives and support for students including presentations from top universities and graduate employers; expert assistance with Oxbridge applications, fast-track A Levels and additional qualifications designs to stretch and challenge students.

To be considered for one of the scholarships, students must submit an application detailing the subjects they want to study at New College and their reasons, plus why they think they should receive a scholarship.  Winners each receive a £150 cheque to help towards the purchase of additional resources for their courses.

The four winners are Charlotte Akers; Luke Browning; Nasem Ali and Anna Gilbert.

Nasem, former Lawn Manor Academy student says:

"I feel over the moon about getting the scholarship; I didn't think I'd be able to get it. One of the reasons I chose to study at New College was because I liked the idea of the High Flyers and having a specialised programme. After college I'm planning on going to University to study a chemistry based degree."

Well done to all four winners!
