Twilight College Experience for Year 10s and 11s
Twilight College Experience 2018 takes place on Tuesday 3 July, from 4.30 to 7pm.
What is this event?
Twilight gives you the chance to visit New College and participate in taster sessions to see what studying here is like. Sessions take place after the school day has finished, giving you plenty of time to get here. There is also a special talk for parents, who may need to bring you here and staff will be on hand to provide information, advice and guidance.
Who is it for?
The event is mainly for Year 10 pupils from schools with sixth forms, who will not have the opportunity to take part in our daytime College Experience. However, we also welcome Year 11 pupils, who may not be completely sure where they want to study after GCSEs. Some Year 9s who are being home-schooled may also choose to attend.
- See what teaching and learning at New College might be like
- Opportunity to experience subjects not on offer at other school 6th forms
- Meet some of our students and ask about College life
- Helps with the decision-making process – the familiar environment of staying in your sixth form may suit some students but others prefer a wider choice of courses, opportunities and independence that College can offer.
There will be chances to visit New College at open events during Year 11, but only Twilight will give you an idea of what teaching and learning will be like here.
