Like many other FE Colleges, we have experienced significant cuts to our funding as part of the current round of public spending cuts and it is extremely likely that further cuts will continue.

Since our inception in 1984, New College has been committed to providing opportunities for learners of any age, background or circumstance to come and gain new skills and qualifications designed to help them advance their careers and futures. We want to offer our local students the best possible choice and range of courses along with the highest quality teaching and learning experience. Continued funding cuts threaten our ability to deliver this experience.

Additional cuts to entitlement funding, which has previously paid for student enrichment activities and the phasing out of the Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) have also meant that certain groups of disadvantaged students in particular may not be able to access an education at New College.

Making a donation to New College can help us to continue our good work and ensure that learning is made available to every student that wants it. You may be a parent, a former student, a local citizen or local employer and wish to help us.

Every gift that is donated to New College helps us to continue to provide the best possible learning, facilities and assistance to our students. We are grateful for gifts of any size at any time.
