You have a vital part to play in our students’ progress and development, and we recognise that we need your cooperation and support in helping them to get through their programme successfully.

Parents and carers are an important element in our Partnership of Support for every student. We welcome your participation in the students' learning programmes, from the early stages of applying for a place to nearing course completion.

You will be invited to a Partnership Evening early in the first term. We send you reports at key stages to keep you up-to-date with progress, as well as invitations to regular Consultation Evenings and other events such as a Higher Education briefing session. We monitor our students’ attendance in each lesson, and can give them – and you – regular updates. For more information see college dates

New College students generally appreciate the adult atmosphere of the College and respond well to it. If it is necessary, we will telephone you with any concerns we may have, and we would like you to contact us if you have any problems or questions at any stage.

We publish a newsletter for parents of 16-19 students at New College every term. Click here to get our latest newsletters for parents
