Apprenticeships
WorkSkills courses
Preparation for Work Programme
Have you left school, not got a job yet or a place on a training course? This will help you improve your qualifications and the personal skills you need to get work or go to college.
You can get Level 1 or Level 2 qualifications in Maths, English, and IT. You can also get a Personal Development Certificate.
Meet tutors from College courses, and employers. Discuss your choices for education or jobs.
Step Up
Are you 16-19 and looking for help with finding work or study?
Step Up is a short course that helps you with practical skills such as CV-writing and interview techniques, and you get more information on different job or training opportunities. You have regular 1:1 help from a specialist tutor and careers advisor.
You get the chance do some 'taster' sessions of jobs you might like. If you like what you see, you could apply to study one of them in September.
Work on your IT, English and Maths, to develop important personal skills that employers and colleges look for: teamwork, assertiveness and decision-making.
We run Interview Workshops throughout the year - call the Apprenticeship Team to find out more.
